    Spearfishing Pictures from Block Island

Here are a couple spearfishing pictures from this weekends trip out to block. The wind blew the whole time i was out there but managed to sneak out for a couple hours to do some expoloring. Found some big schools of stripers most 15-30lbs with bigger ones if you were selective. Shot these two and unfortunately pulled a shaft free of a fish that was much bigger. Could have easily shot as many fish as i wanted. Boats trolling and fishing eels all around me and not catching anything. Amazing how many fish are down there that just wont eat anything..really puts it into perspective. Enjoy guys

I need to quit talking about it and just buy a gun. That looks like too much fun.

Great report and awsome pics...question for you.

Did you shoot them with a spear gun or hawaiian sling?

Have speared some mahi in the canyons and some mahi and wahoo in florida but havent been able to connect with any tuna up north yet...hopefully this summer that will change.

I speared them with a spear gun that has a reel on it so if you dont hit them perfect you have some line to fight them with...that big fish i hit right in the brain she didnt even kick once i just swam over and picked her right up.
