    SPEARFISH

    Looking at old posts and came across one in particular, that since the captain and crew weren't mentioned, I would offer some insight. I'm talking about an overnighter back in October in the Baltimore Canyon. Killed one yellow and one broke off. Next day we set up shop and we ended up catching the only known spearfish for the season in OC (got lucky). I want to mention the Capt. Ronny Hoffman and his boat the "Defiant" - helluva captain and fisherman. Reel man Phil Lasorta did a helluva job getting the fish to the side, and for myself, I just do what I do and have fun. Just wanted to put some names with the faces. Later.

    Is this the famous "Margarita Sportfishing" who's better half Won the Ladies Division of the 2007 OC Tuna Tourn w/ a 157lb BFT on Stand Up or the man who like to gaff 78lb Wahoo on a lazy Sunday afternoon????
