South Carolina Fishing License Question

Hi All,

When fishing in SC from a boat, is a fishing license required for everyone on the boat, even if they are not fishing, or only for those who are holding (or will be holding) the poles? Have heard it both ways, and hoping you guys can help. Just got our boat and anxious to get out there and do some fishing, but not wanting to buy a license for all the guests if I don't have to. Or I guess I'll just have to go alone when fishing....LOL

buy a license for each pole, 5 guests + 3 poles & 3 licenses..your good. 5 guests and 5 poles... 3 licences....ticket!!

for whatever else DNR might be..stupid isnt one of them....

Dave as I understand it, yes everyone on the boat needs one. I think 15 and under can fish on your license.
