Now I say Bush should immediately sign an executive order to open up all of our untapped oil fields and he should sign a second order to put the fuel cell & hydrogen distribtuion network in place ASAP. This is just pure BS. We should get our fields open and pull out all of the stops for development. Screw the middle east. Enough is enough. I am tired of this nation being everybody whipping boy. The president of the United States of America has to go to Saudi Arabia with his hat in hand? Are you kidding me? What a disgrace! Where is the leadership? Where is the national spirit?

So let's just say for a moment that we did open out oil fields. How long would it take for that to have a meaningful impact? I believe that the duration of this task would be measured in years, not months, weeks or days. But let's assume that we did it anyway. And let's also assume that we would use our entire supply in what 10 years. Are you telling me that if the greatest nation in the world committed to develop a real alternative that in 7 years (assuming time for adoption and infrastructure) the Saudi's would have a commodity that had little demand?

What am I missing? How about we divert just 10% of our tax dollars that are wasted on illegal non tax paying "citizens" and see what progress we could make?

I agree, we need to stop being so god damned politically correct in what we say and do. No-one else is in this world. We need to pay for this war by taking the oil from godforesaken Iraq!! It would help two-fold by helping lower gas prices as well. This country is going straight to hell with no-one at the wheel. God help our kids........
