Snowmobilers' Wanted - SportFishermen.com's winter Retreat.
Well first hope everyone had a great New Years and Holiday Season. We at SportFishermen.com decided this year to branch out some, so we have leased a cabin in the Adirondacks. Our new Winter head quarters for 2010.
NOW FOR ANYONE WHO SAYS NO WAY TO COLD - hold on a second.
My wife and kids love warm weather and did not want to drive north- but after being there and having no coughs, no sneezing, no snoring, no allergies, fresh air, peacefull as can be, she wants to go back every friday. Oh and also surrounded by people who say hello, good morning, good afternoon, excuse me, can I help you with that? What a nice feeling to be around people who just enjoy life.
So if you have never given this a try think again about a really cool family outing. Or if you are like me and just need to get away from reality COME JOIN ME!
I got home last night but will be heading back up Wednesday morning. Come hang out with me!
I have 2 snowmobiles but can rent more right from the owner of the camp we are staying at. Rooms are very reasonable. If I am alone you are more than welcome to crash in our place.
Lewis County gets 200-300" of snow annually -- that's up to 25 feet. Hundreds of miles of groomed trails are cut through it every winter, making Lewis County an ideal place for snowmobilers. Hundreds of miles of trails right in this area and really amazing FOOD.
Here is the web address for the club that maintains the trails in this area.

And yes I got to drive the snow cat. Got some training last week and will be learning more about running this machine. All groomers "aka people who keep the trails nice" and runs machines are volunteers. So I will be learning and helping out this winter.
Here is a pic of the Snow cat I'm learning to drive.

Rentals - Adirondack Sport Center now has 12 different rental cabins. We offer a variety of cabins, ranging from all the accommodations of home, to a rustic stay in the Adirondacks. We can accommodate almost any group, and the cabins are located right on the trail S77D. It doesn't get any more convenient than this.
I won't bore you with all the details but NO doubt this was one of the best things I have done for myself and also my family. Well worth checking out.
I look forward to possibly seeing some of you up there. Most weekends are sold out, but fact is weekday snowmobiling is the best as the trials are groomed and the riding is insane. So come join me.
Here is the owners info.
