Sirius weather

I am thinking about getting the sirius weather upgade for my boat. Does anybody have experience with this unit?

Will it work if it is cloudy out, or will it shut down like the sat radio from lose of signal?

Is it worth $800?

Should I get the 48mile radome or the 72 mile open?

regardless of the range you choose,get the open array,they show feeding birds much better than a dome.
