Since Admin is Useless... Mini DV Question

Mini wants big bucks to help. That little brat even knows how to shoot vids with a regular camera...
I'm still trying to pick a camera. Box says digi 8... Flat says mini dv... I have a mountain of Hi 8 that I can run through the digi 8 that will then be digified I guess so thats a direction i'm leanin. I hear all this stuff about a fire wire and I only just found that I have an extra usb port... So my cro-magnon skills are gonna take some fine tunin...

I QUESTION IF YOU CAN RUN HI8 ANALOG INTO A DIGI 8.....IN FACT....I USE THE SAME TAPE SIZE BUT HI8 ANALOG WILL NOT PLAY OR RECORD IN MY DIGITAL CAMERA...YOU ARE BEING SO CHEAP IT SCARES ME

box you will not improve the quality of the analog recording but it will out put it the vid through the digital link to the computer....let me check with Sargent At arms....he just bought a digital hi 8 and it was in his specs sheet with the camera.....if sargent is still on ...maybe he can fill us in on the make and number

One of the cams I looked at has the capability of taking the A/V feed off a standard hi8 or even an ol vhs and re-record it digitally. Then you pop that into the computer. Mash a bunch of buttons and make a flick to be remembered...
I would love to use some of the hi8 footage I've got already as a head start is all... Fear not Video Deep will come up with new and crative ways to irritate the masses...

As far as adding a video clip to a post- If it is from another site, just copy the link and paste it into your post. If you create a video, then you an upload it using Sportfishermen.coms video uploader. Here is the link:http://www.sportfishermen.com/uploader/

Send either Jer or Admin a pm and they will send you the link. When they send it back to you, just highlight it, then right click and then left click on copy and then when you make your post and get to where you want to add the link- right click, then left click on paste to add it.
