Sick of Pre-roll / In-stream Video Ads

OK, I hate the way those things steal my time when I want to watch an online video. Some don't. Some believe it's the only way for websites to stay in business. But I hate them.

So, I wanted a way to turn them off. This is a real pain in IE (I use IE9). But it's a snap with Google Chrome using a free add-on (extension) called Adblock Plus for Chrome (currently in Beta but working great).

If you hate those ads as much a I do just install Chrome and then do a search within Chrome for "Adblock Plus for Chrome". Install it and in no time you'll be enjoying mostly ad-free browsing, including those darned pre-run video ads.

Oh, it even takes care of ads on this site. But in deference to Jer's need to make a little ching on this site I'll use IE9 here.
