    short fat fish

I am new here but thought I should pass on my grandson's fish story.

We live on the intercoastal and my grandson (age 4) loves to come over and fish off the dock. The other evening he caught a small snapper. Called his mom and told her it was about 3" long, but weighed either 50 or 100 pounds, not sure which. I laughed and told him he needed to work on his fishing tales if he was going to be a true fisherman.

Was fun watching him pull it in. Was actually about 12" and maybe 1 pound. Got to love those kids!!

Nice story. Kids are great. My dad likes to tell the story of my first fish. It was a flounder, maybe 6 inches long. He says I was yelling at the top of my 6 year old lungs that it was gonna pull me out of the boat! I must have thought it weighed 50 lbs, too!

That's just classic- it sounds like the beginning of a true fisherman....it was this big! Just imagine how much it would have weighed if it had gotten away Welcome to SFC!
