I hear ya. been worried for a while about someone being strapped into a harnes attached to the reel with stand up gear. Switchin to mono wind ons this year and will get one of those handy line cutters to attach to the harnes just in
case.

Talked to a friend about sharkin one time and he asked if the angler was tied to the boat. I said Nah, Just hold on to the rod, It's attached.
