This week I had the American luxuries like paying taxes , renewing licenses, paying tripple the national average for insurances, renewing doccumentaion, and having my daughter go to the prom to make me feel all warm fuzzy and patriotic inside... Each trip to the mailbox is an adventure. Driving, dining and shopping in the incompetence capital of the world leaves scars on my very soul.
In a world where two handed texting at 70 mph is accepted practice I wonder where the cops are. In a town where I have had to solve every burgulary or misdeed done to me by myself. In a county where I have been shaken down for having a PBA card in my wallet. In a place where law is backward and only the innocent suffer, I have been summoned for Jury Duty!
God damnit! I see a pattern. I'm oonly selected when democrats are in office. Don't feed me any shit about random. You get my name off my voter registartion and my party affiliation is printed on it!
Are you kidding me county clerk? Have you seen my jurror track record? Do you not realize that the Deep is the most opinionated contemptuous analytical sarcastic SOB that has ever darkened the dorrways of your court system? Do you not recall escorting me from the government center on the last occasions? Do you not know my contempt for people who wear robes? Ever hear my lawyer jokes? They ain't jokes... I'm serious... Haaay Zeussss Preeeeest!
When I lived in the Keys I served... We walked a guy pinched for short lobsters in his home freezer... In part cause he was a fisherman like us... More because what the hell were the cops doing in his freezer? They had a warrant to look for drugs which they found none... This was them trying to cover their ass...
I served up here once. Guy beat up his tennant... Charged with Battery... Well he beat the guy who had been evicted a month before when he walked in and the guy who had broken back in and was living there threatened him. We walked him too.
Nothing is black and white in a court house... If I got to dig to find the whole stories like above, I'll side with the accused every time. By the letter of the "law" guilty. But I'm one who believes in right and wrong over "Law"...

I want to puke when I hear cops in the court house hallways rehearsing and embelishing their stories or even flat out make shit up. When they do that they are no better than the bad guys.
The whole judicial system is broken... I see a guy with 23 felony crack sale convictions get 2 weeks in county. Then I see a guy who suggested "try the guy who hangs in front of 7-11 get seven years for conspiracy to distribute...
No Mr. County Clerk you don't want me but since you asked so nice I'll show up. Don't say I din't warn you...

Thanks, I'd love to go but I'm headed back to Chub in a couple days.... Not stressed at all really... Just blowin steam... They really have the wrong guy to put in a jury box... As one who has been railroaded personally then seen guilty as shit perps get a slap on the wrist and let go I have no faith in the judicial system...

Oh trust me... I got enough game to get thrown off any jury... You'ld think they'ld look at my track record before asking me again...

Most of the bad guys down here plead guilty... If they bring me a case where I so much as think the da or the cop is being a dick, I will not convict. However if I even sniff that the bad guy is indeed bad I'd vote for hanging or life..."Whats that your honor? A trafic citation? I don't give a shit, heat up the chair!"
