SHAMROCK BOATS BANKRUPTED...

I have a 2006 246 open single diesel boat. Gave it to Bo Palmer for some warranty work back in Sept. 2008. Factory rep Dan wales came and picked it up for me in September and brought it to their NC plant in Bladenboro. I was told the boat would be delivered back to me within a few weeks with all work done and ready to use. One month goes by, then two then 4 and now 6. I made numerous calls through that time and was told I would be called back. No calls. Finally three weeks ago I get a call back from a very nice women, she informs that the boat is done and I should come and pick it up. Now the factory rep. Dan Wales was supposed to deliver the finished boat back to Wanchese, but was informed the NC plant was temporarily closed and no one was around to deliver the boat, but she would get back to me. Another week goes by and I call leave a message and wait. Finally two days ago I get a call from and unfamiliar voice that informs me I better come get my boat before April 1st or I'm Shit out of luck.( Not those exact words) After that response I politely ask the gentlemen who he was and he told me " I work for the firm who owns the building that Bo Palmer ( Bladen Composites, Shamrock Boats) leased and he has defaulted. Bo was giving a grace period to straighten up his bills but failed to come up with the money. All items in the building must be picked up before the new lease holder moves in in April." The gentlemen then goes on and tells me Bo has declared Bankruptcy and Shamrock boats Bladen Composites is NO MORE. Very confused I call the main office and spoke to the women again, she explained to me that it is true, Shamrock and Bladen Composites is truely done and she is the last employee. All other employees have moved away and back to there home towns. Being a Shamrock owner I am wondering about future problems and how they will be addressed? I guess we will see.

it's a disgrace the way palmer twists a story to fit his version...this guy is trash,plain and simple...how anyone can defend and feel bad for a piece of trash like bo palmer is beyond me...i got beat up pretty bad for telling it as it is concerning him...guess i was right,huh ???

i recall talking with you concerning your rig,yes ??? your rig was back to the factory a few times for the same problem,the deck was seperating from the stringers,yes ???
i got a few emails this morning,funny stuff,one guy tells me i clearly have an axe to grind with palmer,and when i go outta buisness,he hopes i will have people dancing in the streets...another guy,forwarded me an email he got from the famed bo palmer,it shows the true bo palmer,making false claims and crying foul,when it comes time to do what he promised,he,aplmer,also makes a reference to the owner of that 246 i posted pictures of,palmer makes the claim,"we took care of the owner of that boat,he's very happy with shamrock"...funny,real funny,the owner's name on that boat is jim castiglia,he's president of the townsends inlet yacht club,in sea isle city nj,feel free to go and see him and ask him about his dealings with palmer-his story will be quite different...
while i honestly take no joy in this,it appears ol' palmer got what he was due-karma,it will get ya!! the best claim that liar palmer made was,he was selling the shamrock assets,there are no assetts,he defaulted on everything,bladen county has taken everything...funny thing though,ol' palmer sure sold the defiance line to a group of investors real quick-hmmm...and it's awful funny,that same group would hire a guy to run the show,same guy who ran these companies into the ground-hmmm...i got no axe to grind,what i have is,i expect someone to stick to what they say they're gonna do,clearly something this palmer guy has a problem doing-he talks a big game,when it comes "go time",he's changing his story-shows what he's made of,nothing,he's an empty suit,kinda like obama...
your boat was still under the original hull warranty,yes ??? i believe it was 8 yrs,yes ?? well,here's the bad news,you lost,but,with the service you've recieved in the past from this group of lying morons,you really lost nothing,you never had anything to begin with...think of what's gonna happen with all those defiant boats when the owners have a problem with one of them...

I'm glad Bo Palmer's shady ways of doing business are finally coming to light. He done me wrong in a business deal a few years ago and I swore I would never forgive him for it. It is sad to see the plants closing and many out of work, but i'd be lying if said I didn't smile a little when I heard Bo went bankrupt.

Sorry to hear this news......welcome to my club.....I am a happy owner of a new 2005 Sea Pro (ordered in 2004)...delivered spring 05.....then Sea Pro was purchased by?? Johnson Wax......which is a Mercury family??? or something like that.....then Johnson family dumps the Sea Pro line and its all over.....

So, somebody tell me about that lifetime warranty on the hull and how that works?

Good thing I powered it with a Yamaha hpdi and I have had no hull issues OR ANY PROBLEM whatsoever!

Hey Jawz12, I read some things on Bloodydecks web page. I didnt tell the forum what I saw when I had to go to Bladenboro NC. Bo cut up all his molds before he left so know one could sell them or use them ever again. Bo and his boys were reported by a county official taking all they could from the facility before the authorities came to find the place in shambles and all employees and personnel gone. I took some pics of the warehouse and there is a shit ton of stuff still there, including someone 27 mack. in the building process. Bladenboro is in the process of taken inventory and are going to auction off all that is there. Believe me when I say you could practically build a boat from the amount of stuff that they left behind is an understatement. Included in the inventory is around 20 Brand new Yamahas, Electrical panels, exhausts bow rails, pedestals, Starboard etc.
Cutting up molds, and taken what you can is pretty low. Defiance boats should be informed about Bo's work ethics and P.R. skills before hiring him, if indeed they are really bringing him on.
All info about the plant and Bo's antics where directly from a Bladenboro official.

i still get a little laugh out of this when i read it...a few of you guys on this site defended that pile of shit palmer,some of you guys said i was in the wrong for the way i spoke to him.i knew right away when i talked to him he was full of shit...and i was right !!!
