Not trying to attack anyone personally, just very upsetting to see a new presidential candidate that is supposedly full of hope and change support someone like this Rev. who appears so openly against whites and imply that all of them look down on minorities. I got caught up in the moment when I read the post and got fairly steamed. Sorry bud.

I hear what you're saying and accept your apology, but when you tell someone to go to the back of the bus where they belong, what do you expect.
Now the New Black Panther Party(not the old, look it up) are racist against whites and so are lots of other militant black organizations. I still don't see how his remarks were racist. He expressed change from whites as far as what has been going on in the past. He never said all whites, just as all blacks aren't being put down, all indians aren't being put down, etc. It did touch on how the history of this country can and is changing in my opinion. I'm sure what he read was gone over again and again by several people examining and proof reading everything that was said in this largely orchestrated event. I'm sure the majority of people in charge though it was ok.

For me, watching what this Presidency is doing for the young people in our country by causing them to get involved and pay attention to what our government is doing is worth it in itself.

I give the guy credit, most of being a leader is inspiring others to get motivated, and he has done that so far. Time will tell.

My position on this subject is that he can't do worse then the last guy we had in there.
I am from a broken home, moved out at fifteen, made all kinds off stupid decisions that were not helpful, I married and raised two fairly functional daughters. Oh but I am white so I doesn't count as someone who overcame the obstacles in life. I think not, I have many black friends who are fully functional citizens and I also can't stand just as many lazy white people.
I believe that you can't tell a good man by skin color alone.
Obama has done something no other candidate ever has and that is awaken the children of this nation and let them know that anything is possible.
We have a long road ahead of us and I mean us as a nation. Not as a race or a faction or any certain creed or religion. The obligation is on everyone of us too make our nation the strongest on the planet again, the only way we can achieve this is by working together for the same common goal.

ONE NATION UNDER GOD INDIVISIBLE WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL!

This is just my simple minded opinion and the beauty of our nation is that no one has to agree, and whether you do or not I don't have to care.

Working together towards Socialism is not the answer.

FDR couldn't make it work, and Obama won't either, it's as simple as that.

Convincing the herd of sheep that you can change the world and essentially winning a popularity contest doesn't make your ideas right, but that's something we're going to learn the hard way.

If this country had a halfway objective media, and a remotely decent education system then we would know how bad our government is screwing us over. Unfortunately the morons in our country would rather try something "new" that is not so new at all.

Like I've said before and will keep saying, sugar coat this administration all you want, but hang onto your lively hood and wallets, it's gonna be a nasty ride.

Accountability means nothing in this country anymore and until it does and people are held accountable for their actions nothing can change not the economy, not the politics, not the state of social equality. Obama doesnt understand this or he wouldnt have nominated those to office that he has. Sorry but we're screwed, seeing where were in generations past and where we are headed as a country its almost embarassing.
