The stats don't lie. Approx. 70% of black children are born out of wedlock and approx. 60% are raised in fatherless homes. Approx. 27% of white children are bron out of wedlock. I am sorry, I was not trying to be insulting, but there is a problem and it can't be fixed until people are not afraid to look at the truth.

So why couldn't you say that, and that number only leaves 3% of children of other races to be born out of wedlock. Hispanic, asian, etc. You think that's true? Think about the sources you use also.
That still leaves the other points you brought up also. You got stats for those too? I wasn't insulted, I was just replying to your assumptions.

How many of you seriously believe that the spending of this inauguration was completely up to him? It's a historic event and it costs money to provide security and to acknowledge the people who want to see him in office. I or you isn't at these inaugural parties, it's the big business people who will ultimately be the ones that spend the money and build the products that build this country. Just happens that there are people from all over the world and both sides of the spectrum that want to be a part of it. That hasn't happened before and will probably never happen a gain to this magnitude. How much money do yuo think it costs for extra cell towers to be in place to accomodate the millions of people that came to town of their own free will? How much does it cost to check out every news camera from all over the world that covered this event? This is the biggest inaugural turnout in history before the inaugural balls. This was planned as soon as the votes were counted and everyone wanted a piece. If every single TV station in the world wasn't covering this, it would've been a ton cheaper like inaugurations in the past.

The point I was trying to make is that its about time for a positive role model. Its amazing what a good example can do for the hopes and dreams of a kid. I live near Killadelphia the murder captial of the country. I strongly believe the gangsta / rap culture has done nothing but harm to the inner city communites and yes I do have other stats, but what's the point? I was not at all trying to insult you. The good news is we have come far enough to be able to speak about it.

BTW- I have a sister that is a single parent. Oh ya, I don't care for goth kids either as I think they are very troubled and it sickens me.

Not trying to attack anyone personally, just very upsetting to see a new presidential candidate that is supposedly full of hope and change support someone like this Rev. who appears so openly against whites and imply that all of them look down on minorities. I understand where you're coming from, I really do. And I repeat that you did not insult me. What I'm saying is that even though President Obama is a good person to immulate, I think that the term "role model" gets used way too much instead of parents taking responsibility on raising their kids. I was raised by a single mom and she taught me right from wrong and to work hard for what I want in life. Where I don't agree with you is how you blame a music culture for the crime in your area. Is it the way they dress and act? What is it that makes you come to this decision? I'm sure they're not all criminals if they live in that neighborhood and listen to rap music. If I used your observation, I would say that the country music culture is responsible for the redneck/racist culture here in the south. That country music causes all the meth cookers to overdose and string out kids just like rap music causes inner city kids to sell crack,etc. Or could it be that they're all poor on both sides and are coming from a generation of parents who just don't give a damn?
