???? A serious question ????

Why is it, no matter what website you visit, there are many different forums. Each forum represents, obviously something different. You have your serious forums and of course the forum where its pretty much everything. But yet in the pretty much everything forum, theres always someone complaining ??????? Its equivalent to someone who just isnt happy unless they complain. Do they like to hear themself complain ?? Do they like to hear there own voice ??? I dont know ???????????? Ya know, come to think of it, I dont think Ive ever complained in a website..

But yet in the other forums, less the everything forum - everything for the most part stays on track ????? everyone with me on everything ??? anyone , anyone ?? Bueller ???

Just pondering........... Does everyone have to be so serious all of the time ?? Breaking stones and getting in jabs, I always thought was fun, especially when the other party jabs back.

Now this is a serious thread, lets see if those folks that like to complain all of the time will chime in. Im guessing no, maybe because its a serious thread ???? Maybe because the word boobie wasnt mentioned ??????? I did have this thread blessed by Jawz/ Jesus before posting it - maybe thats it !!??

I nominate Jesus to status of mod !!!!!!!!!! Jesus, toss me a couple miracles, please and if you dont mind maybe give my wife a laringitis for a week, shes nagging the hell [ no pun intended ] out of me.

I think the mix it up is the place for fun stuff... Kinda goes thread by thread as to protocol. Somebody asks a non fishing question thats kinda serious. Well then answer it kinda serious. If Its a thread meant to be a joke then let er fly.
Language does become an issue. I'm guilty of pushing the boundaries at times but unless its over in the secret place I try to keep a muzzle on it and at least keep the f word out of things. Yes kids do read this site. My daughter and her friends among them. For the most part theres nothing really off color here and certainly nothing worse than I hear from her own classmates.
Direct sexual inuendo really belongs over in the secret place. It does on occasion border on the edge in Mix it up however. Hell, I've even had stuff flagged and bagged.
I find really very little on this site that I'm offended by. Humor is just that as long as its made clear that its humor. Personal attacks, dog pile on the rabbit stuff though get under my skin.
Direct attacks that can effect a persons ability to earn a living is where I draw the line. Not in the serious, nor the mix it up. Direct malicious attempts to discredit or cast aspersion on ones professionalism have no place on this or any site. I have had a stalker trying to undermine me for years here. I'm thinking somebody might have talked some sense into him because he has been pretty quiet on my threads recently where he used to derail almost every serious thread I wrote for quite a while.

I see recent changes in the site. Stuff that may be considered "R" rated or more have been transferred to the secret place. Oh well its just a second mix it up the way I look at it. One where the rules are a bit more relaxed...

Seams to me that right now, you are complaining about the complainers...just how it comes of to me.

The big problem with type, is there in no inflection in type. Reading, there is no way to tell what the typer is doing or how they are saying it. For some it may be a joke, some may perceive it as an attack.

With a joke, some will see it as funny, others will find it offensive.

The site here is a fishing site, with people of all areas and ages reading it. The site has to cater to everyone and we as posters, that use this site needs to remember this.

It costs a ton of money and work to keep this site up and running. AS a poster, it is you job and mine and everyone else's job to keep people so they spend their dollars here and not some where else.

Personal or pursuing attacks on people should not be allowed or condoned. I think that they should be dealt with and not allowed to continue.

Case in point, here in this thread you called Jaws, Jesus. I don't know if you and Jimmy are friends or not, I think not. I perceive this as a personal attack on his person and I don't like it, nor approve of it, then on top of it, you post pictures of the Lord. To me, that is like taking his name in vain, others find it very funny.

So you or anyone else can have fun here, is it right that you or anyone else has the right to rib someone to the point that they have/ are run off the site, so some one can have his or her fun...no, it is true that a few can ruin it for the many.

Don't mean to point this towards you but you are the one that made this post and that's why it points that way. I'm in no way bashing you. I have been lucky, only had a fray with 1 person here on this board. Ask him in a way to call me and he did, we got it worked out over the phone and things are cool with us now, why...because on the phone, he was a different person than in type, just like would be.

As you and others may have noticed, I tend to stay out of the fray. I tend to come into those posts when the language gets to offensive as I think about the kids using the site. The younger kids are out tomorrow and they learn from our actions. The advertisers that may be looking to use this site look for this also and if it to bad they click away and go look somewhere else. Nice thing about a paper magazine, there is no way to bash a person of advertiser, not so on the internet.

The best thing I can say to everyone is to read before you push the submit button, if you think what you wrote may be offensive to some, most likely it is.

I hate to read long posts, especially ones that are all one paragraph, I won't read them, to hard to read and understand... so I will stop her for now.

Jesus/ Jawz stems back to another thread not posted by me but found it very humorous. This thread was not targeted to anyone in particular. Maybe a bit of sarcasm within.

You and I and many others have different senses of humor, thats why there is Leno, Conan, Letterman etc.

that "sushi42" guy called me jesus,that was a year ago...me n low tide are buds...it's all good...no personal attack here by any stretch...
a big problem in today's world is people are "wound too tight",way too politically correct...lowtide is a funny guy,read what the guy types,funny stuff !! sure seems to me there's not a mean streak in the guy...
