    Seems dumb to me

    The NFL forbids churches from having superbowl parties on large screen TVs.

    The league bans public exhibitions of its games on screen larger than 55 inches. However it exempts bars from this rule, therefore you can go get drunk but you can't go to a family based church social to watch the game.

    I could probably get the community where I live fined also. They have a super bowl party in the club house on a large screen TV every year.

    I saw that on TV last night, its all about money and ratings, the more TV's that are tuned in to the game the more money they can get for commercials and sponsorship. Even though they already get millions for a 30 second spot. They could probably make a deal with the NFL if all the people attending the party agreed to tune their TV to fox for the Super Bowl and leave it on while they went to the party.

    So, if someone has a SB party with 20 or so people, and has the game on a 60 inch big screen. That's not allowed?

    What's the NFL gonna do, tell us we can't watch the games anymore?

    Just one question...........how in the hell would they be able to enforce such a stupid law/rule...whatever you want to call it...what are they gonna do hire a superbowl cop to watch over all the churches?
