I just wanted to take a minute & say a big Thank You to everyone that has supported us! It has been a busy summer that seems to be winding down & I know I have not been posting as much as normal but it seems like things are slowing down a bit & getting back to normal. We have had a awesome year this year that started with the ending of Bluefin season which was pretty good to us because we were fortunate to have been one of the few boats to have a good season. Once Tuna season was over we hauled the boat & done a major facelift on the outside & even added a few more horsepower to go along with the new look. Then comes Yellowfin season & the spring Wahoo bite blowing in & I do mean BLOWING it was few & far between days we had a chance to go but when we did for the most part it was excellent fishing. I remember a few days we had a limit of Tunas before 11:00 am & was heading back to the dock because the party cried uncle & said we have had enough fish to feed two armys. Well it seemed as the weather started to agree a bit better with our fishing days it was Gaffer time with the Big Mahis mixed with a few Tunas then from out of the blue I was screaming right short Blue Marlin. The Billfish bite was on & I mean it was on good I remember a stretch one time we had Billfish 8 out of 9 trips with some of those days we had multiples in the same day. Well that bite was good most of the summer with a good assortment of fish with some days a limit of Dolphin. Well after all this good fishing it was obvious it had to come to a end so here comes good ole Tropical Storm Ernesto well he done his damage to the water & got things all stirred up just as the Wahoos started to chew a little. Well he is gone the waters are starting to cool off the Wahoos are chewing again along with a few Sailfish & the King Mackerals are starting to show very well inshore just like they are supposed to do. I almost forgot about all the 1/2 day trips when the kids got to catch there first fish or there first trip in the ocean with huge #s of Spanish Macks. Well the Bluefins will be here in no time & we will start all over again. We are going to try to do more Make Up trips this spring than we have done in the past I have always been a little scared trying to mix people that did not know each other but I learned from the ones we have done in the past everyone that has been with us has been outstanding & has gotten along with everyone well. Also it is nice to be able to put some faces with the names of the people I have spoken to on the board.BTW none of this could not have been possible without Rick (Baywolf) he came onboard with us just before the Bluefin season last year & we have not slowed down since he has stuck it out through the major facelift this past Winter & even helped get adjusted to our new home on the Morehead Waterfront. I just wanted to say thanks again for all the support & the kind comments from everyone in the past. Maybe the next year will be even better. (if it is possible)
Thanks,
Shane
