Sea World

Just Got back from FL, I shot a ton of pictures. I will be sharing with the class. We did not do any fishing on the trip. This will be a travel thread and I will share our experiences with you all.


The family and myself flew out on thanksgiving from Philly to Orlando. With all the news about TSA and all the security screenings and groping we were prepared for the worst. I was actually surprised at how smoothly everything went and we were on our way to sunny FL. Thanksgiving is actually a great day if you can travel, cheaper than any day around it and usually less congestion.

We wanted to take the kids to Sea World the day before the cruise departed as neither one had ever been.

Conditions: Temps in the 70's partly sunny with some showers late in the day. There was a decent crowd at the park but not overly crowded. Sea World is running a kids promotion, where kids tickets are $5.00 with the purchase of Adult tickets.

The Clyde and Seamore show.....that was my girls favorite at sea world....did you ride the Kracken?....last tme we were there was Just after the Kracken was finished.....what a ride......I am heading down to see friends in Feb...a stop at winter haven and then over to port st lucie.....6 ore years until my daughter is 18.....then its time for a lattitude adjustment,really leaning twards NC.....have family in wilmington and in myrtle beach SC.....lots of frieds in Fla....but the pay rate down there sucks fom what I hear.

Mary, the girls had a ball. The whole trip was a blast. I will be getting the cruise pics and report up soon.

Bigfish, we were going to do the Kraken but they had a problem and had to shut it down for a while but i was a little leery to try it once it came back on line.

One thing I heard while down there was that Disney now owns Sea World. Man they are a juggernaut, also they have a ton of land that can still be developed.
