I GOT ONE SMALL COMPLAINT ABOUT YOU WORLD CAT LEMON AND I AM SMILING WHILE I SIT HERE....I AM NOT MAD IN THE LEAST EITHER

YOU REGISTERED HERE JUST TO BITCH ABOUT YOUR PERSONAL PROBLEMS AND NOT FOR ALL THE RIGHT REASONS....NO PROPER INTRO...ZERO....

PERSONALLY, I THINK YOU WENT ABOUT BUYING YOUR BOAT THE WRONG WAY.....I AM WILLING TO GO AFTER AN INTERVIEW WITH THE SAID PARETIES FOR YOU....AND AT THE SAME TIME I WILL INTERVIEW YOU RECORDED BY PHONE......THAT IS WHAT YOU WANT RIGHT? PUBLICITY? SOME HELP GETTING SOME SATISFACTION?

YOU WENT LOOKING FOR A BARGAIN AND YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR IN THE MARINE WORLD...IF IT'S TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT REALLY IS....TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE

I CHALLENGE WORLD CAT TO BITE THEIR LOWER LIP AND OFFER OUT A FRIENDLY GESTURE ONE MORE TIME....SPORTFISHERMEN DOT COM WILL HIRE A SURVEYOR TO EXAMINE BOAT PRIOR REPAIRS AND AFTER REPAIRS....A TEAM OF PROFESSIONAL CAPTAINS THAT I HAND PICK WILL ALSO "SURVEY AND INSPECT THE BOAT" ......

PERSONALLY, I JUST HAVE A GUT FEELING THOUGH THAT IF VOLVO GAVE YOU NEW POWER...AND WORLD CAT DELIVERED A TRUCK LOAD OF A VARIETY OF AHATCHES TO YA....THE GRIPE WOULD MOVE ON TO THE NEXT PROBLEMO...

SEND THAT BOAT TO ME IN NC ....AND LET'S GET THE BALL ROLLING...THE BOAT OBVIOUSLY ISN'T RUNNING SO YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE

STANDING BY...

Wahoonbox publicity

Wahoonbox,

I am not angry either. I am way past that stage. I believe what God's word says when it says "ALL liars shall have their part in the lake of fire which burneth with fire and brimstone". I know ultimately everything will be rectified in the end.

First off, I spoke to TCM and hired a surveyor and took peoples word on the condition of this boat. Had someone told me the true nature I would not have bought this one. I had planned on buying a World Cat but I wanted diesel power for fuel economy and safety, and I was told this boat is in like new condition. Used to be a man could count on what was said by a handshake. Now you have to sign 50 pages of paperwork to buy a house. In this economy you should get what you pay for. I know if I had been selling this boat and had not disclosed it's true nature the guilt would eat my conscious alive, being that I am an honest guy.

Second, I never wanted to give anyone bad publicity, but all I have been getting is everyone playing the blame game. I have wanted nothing but my boat to be in the condition in which it was represented and it is not.

Third, you want to see the boat first hand? You may get that chance when I bring it back to Beaufort, N.C. for some of TCM's events. It will be the one with a large lemon banner. You can interview me personally. I will also take pictures along the way across country for my websites, and I will be sure to contact all the local news media in every major town I come to that they need to get out and see the worlds biggest rolling lemon. This website and this thread is small potatoes my friend when it comes to publicity. I have many ideas for publicity. I just hope I won't be FORCED to use them.

I have said it before, but I guess you missed it, so put your glasses on and read this accurately " If W.C will have my engines torn down and rebuilt and other salt damaged components replaced I will be satisfied with this boat. Furthermore, will make an open announcement that I was wrong and W.C does stand behind their product".

Now does that sound fair? I am not complaining just to complain. Only someone void of understanding, or one with hidden agenda, would make such an erroneous assertion. However, since I am a man of my word I had to post this thread because of a promise that I made to A.B. @ W.C.. Who do you think e-mailed it to Lisa @ TCM?

As for a survey in N.C.? Well, I do not trust anyone there, thanks to those you so adamantly seem to defend. I am sure there are some good people in Beaufort.

If you truly want to do some investigating then why don't start with why TCM would not provide any service records, or receipts for the turbo they got off the new engine in New York to replace the port turbo on my boat? How come W.C. could not come up with any records, even though they modified the hatches, which did not stop the leaks. Shouldn't there be records of some kind? Lisa said TCM had just replaced the Starboard side turbo and alternator a year ago, but could not provide any service records? How come the first owner could not get the salt water intrusion corrected? he told me he would have never sold the boat if salt water wasn't getting in and causing things to break down. I thought salt water was supposed to be on the outside of the boat? Don't hatches need to meet ABYC standards? And be water tight?

Believe me if I would have known the history on this boat I would have never bought it. You seem so indignant about this I have to believe you are somehow tied up in this. No worries though, I have resolve to be persistant to my satisfaction.

Maybe you could ask many more questions, but i am bored and do not want to go into the gourdian knot reality. If I don't get to fish this year, so what! I will hunt bear and elk with my bow, pigs with my pistol, and hit a few boat shows around the country. That will still be agreat year!!!!!!!!!!!

So Mr Lemon -

One simple question - When you purchased the boat, was it covered by a warranty once you took ownership?

Many boat manufacturers only offer non-transferrable warranties - Were you offered an extended or transferrable Warranty? Did you refuse it?

Ok - I'm from NC and you can't trust me, so I'll ask another question - Did you ask to see a service history before you made your purchase?

here are the steps of buying a boat...

1. know what type boat you want and understand that things break and sometimes there are defects in material and workmanship.
2. SURVEY the boat! with a good motor mechanic also and ask questions!
3. understand also there are warrantees / non-transferable and transferable..understand all of them before you sign the dotted line and pay for it.
4. If there are any problems try to work them out...

here is something to let you know how how strange things can happen.. we had yanmar 440 hp diesels..great running little lightweight power packages and they ran good.. until one day I started them and left out the inlet and one engine would not get out of it's own way.. I was thinking fuel, filters, turbo, all the bad thoughts of the world came into play... I was ticked off and I argued with people the whole week. I had a very good mechanic come to the boat and he pulled the air filter off and showed me where the rivits that held the air silencer on had poped out and went down the turbo fins.. hence she didn't turn up.. felt so damn stupid later on in life that instead of WORKING with the engine guys I made it worse.. learned a big lesson and now days I try to take 5 seconds more on any problem to see how to solve it without backing someone into a corner and getting nowhere.. I guess it's true sometimes it's better to save face by keeping the lower 1/2 shut till you know all the facts.. hope this helps

Thanks for the advice. I feel I have been patient, 10 months worth. I feel I am backed into a corner. I am willing to work with W.C. if they will admit that an engine can not ingest enough salt water to eat multiple turbos without shortening the life of the engine. 150 hrs on a diesel, it hasn't even been able to be broken in and now they are compromised.

I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt, and I am willing to resolve this with them, but acknowledging salt water damage, due to the hatch design, is an essential part of this issue.

I am not some vengefull, whiner. I had to replace 6 trailer tires on a new trailer with only 2000 miles on them, and did not ask TCM for any reimbursement. Had to spend $600 for a starter that was fried somehow between TCM and my shop, never asked for them to reimburse me. I could go on and on.

I hope I can remove this blight off this site, and write some real West Coast fishing articles, but the ball is in W.C's court. I can't catch fish in my driveway
