    That's been a topic for many year's now,

    But I really hope it doesn't come to be. The LORAN system is a pretty simple, yet very acurate way of doing thing's. If we loose satelite's for what ever reason, we have to put up more satelite's to navigate. If you loose a LORAN station for whatever reason, all you have to do is set up a generator and another transmiter and you're back in business. I am really afraid that the "smarter we get ,the dumber we get". What is wrong with simple?????? Frank
