Here is a completely biased answer: XM Radio's marine weather package!
From a sea temp standpoint, the thing I like most about it is that it continuously updates. I found this particularly helpful in the early part of the year when water temps would shift significantly over the course of a day/night. In addition, the radar data is a big help in dodging a passing storm and I've used the wave hights to adjust my path home and out. Connect it to a GPS and it will show your position over the charts. It requires either the new Garmin system or an on board computer/laptop, the receiver hardware, and a monthly subscription. My company sells the receiver hardware at wxworx, espre, net and I have a system you can check out if you're ever interested. The hardware will run you around $900 and the monthly fee from XM radio is $29.99.
On the free services I check out both the Rutgers site and the hotspots site. Each has their own +'s and -'s.
This surely will turn into a Ford vs. Chevy debate.......
but I did do my research, being an engineer and anal LOL....
Without paying the big $$$ for Roff's, I personally chose www.oceantemp.com for their great price and great detail you can get, along with interactive (AND accurate, I have verified it) GPS coordinates on the screen.

Or maybe a Ford or Dodge debate. Sounds like Chevy and GM isn't going to be around for to much longer.

I haven't heard Chevy/GM won't be around much longer....is it just a rumor? You hear this stuff all the time and then nothing ever happens, so I never pay attention I guess hahaha![]()
I'll second the oceantemp.com recommendation. I used it all season both for fishing and my offshore column. For $100 how can you go wrong?
I heard it from a buddy of mine that works at a GM dealership. As to how true it is...you got me. But he would know more than I would.Originally Posted by 74Formula233
Word on Wall street is that they may go chapter 11, but they will be around for a long time to come.
