Its not like they pose any real threat to humans that justifies killing them. I would think that most fishermen would agree. Shootin wolves from a heli is about like depth-charging for marlin.

I love how the left can not say anything positive about Palin....EVER. Did Pelosi tell you you would turn to a staunch conservative if you ever did anything but disparage her? Cliff, to your point...she just gives them a permanent wedgy.

    Anthony,

My comment is on shooting wolves not Palin. Want me to say something nice about Palin? OK - for someone of average intelligence and ability she has made a lot of herself. Happy?

Thanks Honestly, I'm not picking on you specifically but the left in general and I know you said you are a moderate but you sure seem left of center. One question I do have since you commented on the wolf issue is are you familiar with the Alaskan policy, do you know how many have been eliminated and why, etc? Honestly, I don't...that's why I didn't comment on the wolf issue....I just think it's funny that the left can NEVER EVER say anything positive about the woman. Cracks me up

Huuuuummmm lets say the Left actually lived in ALASKA and as they let their precious little Fee Fee out to poddy a ferocious wolf came into their yard and tore Fee Fee from limb to limb.

Now the Left steps out of their warm confines to protect Fee Fee, shouting SHOOO WOLF SHOOOO WOLF....we protected you! Unbeknown to the Left is a pack of wolves waiting in the shadows and attacks the Left.

Oh the horror......if we had only let our Palin do her job....but NO lets lay the blame on her....its her fault!!

'we protected you' (your quote). Who is we? Who is you? You have some weird notions about this stuff.

Personally, I kind of dig the incredibly rare instances where apex predators get the better of humans. Given that they are losing the war its nice to see them win a battle from time-to-time (although they pay an awful price for it).

If we had wolves where I live (and they may jsut come back, I hope they do) and one of my dogs gets killed it is my fault, not the wolves.

No offence but where did you get your information from. You might want to do a little research on the subject.

I find it difficult to understand the relationship between some group of nuts (Defenders of Wildlife) and Palin's political capabilities--- or why this nonsense is being discussed---- other than a need for emotional support for Palin.
The fact of the matter is that Defenders of Wildlife is an extremist Group whose objectives are rarely logical and whose tactics are shallow at best--- It would seem just as shallow to use this ridiculousness to support Governor Palin.
The Alaska Division of Wildlife controls Wolf populations in certain areas at a level to sustain the species but not let it get out of hand and also in recognition of other wildlife population goals---- common and accepted wildlife management pratice--- plain and simple. The use of aerial shooters is a safe and effective way to impliment these controls--- end of story.
For the Wolf huggers of the world, it should be remembered that more than 90% of the State's land is exempt from or not subject to this State Wolf Population control.
No kudos or critisism of Governor Palin---- except that ignoring remarks from such radicals may have been the wisest thing to do rather than dignifying Defenders tactics with a response.

    Another point for the moonbat.

I agree that even acknowledging Evironmental extremists is a waste of time.

Exactly, this is a wildlife management program.
Wherever people go the balance of nature is disrupted.
As intelligent, social creatures it is our responsibility to implement Wildlife management policies.
Guess were damned if we do and damned if we dont.

GlennW I rarely agree with you but Kudos for putting it out there the way you did. The AWD does an incredible job of wildlife management their goal is the recovery of many of the very species in this thread but they recognize the problems of wildlife in certain areas and use the safest and most efficient means to cull the populations as needed. If I remember correctly they also spend quite a bit toward relocation and reintroduction programs. I think miss Judd just needed a bandwagon to jump on for promotion I havent heard much about her lately I guess she missed the attention.
