    Saltwater Soldiers Inc & WMO

    Fellow Members,

I am posting this request to ask for help for Saltwater Soldiers Inc and our efforts for wounded soldiers, veterans, and their families. We have been invited to participate and be an intrigal part of the White Marlin Open from July31st to August 6th 2010 by the tournament director Jim Matsko. We arre being given a booth at the event, inclusion in all activities and promotion by the tournament throughout the event to benefit our American Heroes.

Saltwater Soldiers Inc is a 501c3 non-profit with entirely volunteer staff and 100% pass-through to the wounded soldiers and veterans for both the offshore fishing trips we provide and the financial aid provided to make their homes handicap accessible and counseling for the soldiers and their families outside of the military. we are a young organization but have made a major impact in many lives of our American Heores and are working hard to continue to do so and grow our efforts.

We need to request your help with donations to help with the entry fees for the tournament, bait, fuel, and food and accomodations for the soldiers and veterans already scheduled to participate in the tournament this year. The total funding needed for this event is approximately $18000 for everything and will give our soldiers and great experience and also provide the ublicity we need as an organization to help more of our wounded soldiers, veterans, and their families. We have the use of a Ocean 60 sportfish that is fully rigged for fishing and is as handicap accessible as possibel to ensure the soldiers and veterans truely have an experience of a lifetime and are rewarded for their service and sacrifices for our country and each of us.

Please consider donation of $20 or more and/or whatever you can afford to give to help our efforts for our soldiers. All donations are 100% tax deductible and will be provided our tax ID and a receipt for tax purposes. Donations can be made via our website through PayPal or checks can be sent to our main office and receipts will be mailed out immediately to each donor. We really need your help to raise the necessary funding for this event as this event will provide significant exposure for our efforts and the nbeeds of our wounded soldiers, veterans, and their families. Please feel free to view our website at www.SaltwaterSoldiers.org for more information about our organization and services for our soldiers, veterans, and their families.

Our staff can be reached for questions at (703) 928-9513 regarding our services and ways you can help and even join the team if interested.

Thank you in advance for your consideration and help for our American Heroes.

    Regards,

    Fellow Members,

We are getting closer to the WMO and really need your help. We have the soldiers already lined up and are already a part of the WMO with a booth and support from Jim Matsko. However, we need your help to enter the tournament and provide the fuel, bait, and food for the soldiers as well as accomodations for the week for all of them. Alan Wardle with Bahama Lure is already a big supporter and has agreed to come up and help with the booth and working the cockpit for the tournament for the soldiers. We had originally scheduled 8 soldiers and now have an additional 6 that will be joining us to fish the tournament on various days throughout.

I know you all are proud of our soldiers and what they have sacrificed for our freedom and your support will help show them we appreciate all they have done and sacrificed for us. For those of you that served in the military you know what it's like and the lack of support our government gives our soldiers and veterans. Please help us show our wounded soldiers and soldiers just returned from Iraq and Afghanistan a rewarding and positive offshore fishing experience.

All donations are 100% deductable as we are a true 501c3 non-profit and with all volunteer staff and BOD we operate at 100% pass-through to benefit the soldiers, veterans, and their families. We are able to accept credit cards on our webste as mentioned in the original thread and checks sent in should be made payable to Saltwater Soldiers Inc and sent to 5364 Yorktown Run Ct Haymarket, VA 20169. All checks sent should have a return address so that we can either mail out a tax receipt or we can email a receipt if you prefer.

Based on the total cost of the tornament and the accomodations for the soldiers we really have a big number to reach and all donations will help us reach this goal. No matter how big or small the amount of the donation, the fact is that the support is a major help.

Thank you for your consideration and support. Please feel free to call me to discuss or should you wish to ask any questions on how the funds are used in the organization to benefit the soldiers and veterans. We are happy to provide any and all information to show how we differ from the many other non-profits who's spending and compensation for their employees and other staff and BOD is questionable at best and often abusive. This is why we do not allow any compensation to any staff or BOD and will remain fully volunteer for the foreseeable future.

    WMO support

    Guys,

I'm sure many of you have read this thread and wondered what to think or if it's for real. Actually yes, it is for real. We are who we say we are and we need your help to ensure that some well deserved soldiers and veterans have a chance to do a once in a lifetime dream fishing tournament that they would never be able to do otherwise. These soldiers and veterans have given us their best and they just need a little support from those who can and are willing to listen and help.

At this point we still need a great deal of financial support to even be able to enter the White Marlin Open let alone any of the extra categories. We really need your consideration and support and request that you give a minimum donation of $25 via our PayPal account on our website at www.SaltwaterSoldiers.org for these soldiers. We have a great time and experience lined up for these guys and are asking for you to give us a hand in making this come true for them. All donation are 100% tax deductible and you will get a tax receipt for IRS filing purposes with your donation.

Thank you for your time and consideration in advance.

    Michael Branson
