    saddest song ever

    What do you guys think. I say the circus left town and tears in heaven both by eric clapton and both about his son that died.

    im gonna have to agree with all of ya'll. tears in heaven all time classic and very very sad, saw him play it live a looong time ago and you can tell it takes something out of him when he plays it. Whiskey lullaby is also a very sad one as well, and i like "wicked" by chris isaak to.

    Well, until a little over four years ago I would have said that the saddest song I knew was the "Wedding March"...

    He will not play it at concerts any more I went and saw him in NY
    and was shocked he did not play it and h did layla and cocaine and wonderful tonight.

    I dunno. Tears in Heaven is sad, but only if you know the story behind it.

    Dont take the girl by Tim McGraw...this song was popular when my wife was pregnant with our 2nd daughter...that song touched my heart and scared the hell out of me at the same time.
