We had an alarm system installed and got another dog to keep an eye on things when we're not home. The rest of the time me, Glock, S&W and Mr.Walther keep an eye on things.

It's funny you said that. We had a German Shepherd named Hank (big boy) who we had to put down just a few months before it happened. You don't know how many times we've said the same thing.

Sorry not trying to jack the thread.

My mother raised German Shepherds my whole live at home life. There was crime in town, but never anywhere near our neighborhood, where my dogs were on patrol. One time when I came home from work, Baron, our big boy, was sitting on the front steps, my mother always left him in. Upon closer inspection, the glass in the storm door was broken. We figured the intruder, opened the storm door, forced the inner wood door, and Baron sat patiently on the inside waiting. Once the door was open, the guy seen the dog, he must have closed the storm, and Baron went through it after him. There was blood everywhere, but not from the dog. Later we found out a neighbor heard the commotion and called the police and they dragged the guy off to the hospital...I think his criminal intents got over that day.....
