Make sure you can show self defence! I have a friend who still has a lien on his place (18K) for putting a punk he caught coming out of his place with his VCR and TV in the hosp. Of course i'm in Taxachusetts where the scum have more rights than us. Scotty. ps cops told him he should have hit mimself with something to leave a mark to show he was attacked. Just saying.

Deep we know it's someone close. We have 2 people in mind whose sons have been to jail for robbery. God help the poor bastard if he's caught

I second what deep said. Usually someone close to you, and dare I say, usually a family member. I don't know you and I don't mean to be a smart ass, but that is my experience from getting robbed. Happened to me a couple of times.

The last time they stole from me, they took about 2K in change. In order to get it, they had to be eye level with a 44 magnum, 45 ACP, 32 Semi. I don't know if that scared them or not, they didn't take the guns, but they haven't been back either.

I can tell you from experience, that I was only able to rest when I mentally let it go. I wanted to kill someone, but I'm glad I didn't. I have come to learn that that isn't nearly as easy as it sounds to get over. The robbery was though.

After useless attempts of my own and the LE I struck out. This infuriated me. I finally dropped it in my mind and now I don't stress about it.

Lock your doors, buy an alarm system and if your wife has family that aren't exactly pillars of the community, be careful. It could cost you your marriage as well as your stuff.

Again, I don't know your situation, but some things aren't worth it.

Bingo!

I got a call one time from my mother saying there was someone trying to break in her house. My younger brother was in the basement. I was 5 min. away when she called.

Guy got the screen door open and found himself staring down the muzzle of a Mossberg 590 12 ga. and a G22 .40 cal.

He never came back...

My mother had 2 dogs at the time as well. Both sleeping soundly

Seeing the type stuff taken, these people almost seem to know whats there to target. I hate pointing fingers but often stuff like that is people close to the one they are robbing. A neighbor had his safe ripped off... The only ones who knew where that safe was were his very best friends... Sure enough they got nailed with the goods...

Think about it... Grown ups can buy all the liquor they can get their hands on so my gut instinct says these thieves are under drinking age... They clipped a TV... Most burgulars know they can't get shit for a big screen on the fence... Also easy to get caught hauling something that big. Obvious they aren't pros... Top shelf fishing tackle. You live away from the shore if I'm not mistaken... Local nobodies wouldn't know the value of stuff like that... Again, I hate to point fingers but look close at those close to you whom you trust...

Think about it if you did not fish and you saw a big gold class reel would you look at it and say wow that looks expensive HELL YES and tv's get taken all the time. But you are right about the boozes then again half of the robbers out there are from 16 to 20. Did they take keys if so they are coming back. Change your locks.

Been there. Four years ago two punks kicked the back door off the hinges and stole about 8k worth of stuff. Everything from the computer to our George Foreman grill! It was after I left for work and just before my wife got home from working the nightshift. That's what scared me, she almost walked in on it. Anyhow, they got caught a few weeks later in the act. The court gave em both probation. No doubt they have turned their lives around

We had an alarm system installed and got another dog to keep an eye on things when we're not home. The rest of the time me, Glock, S&W and Mr.Walther keep an eye on things.
