Smile rookie albacore fisherman eureka ca

i just bought a 21 ft polar walkaround cuddy.am interested in meeting running mates to chase albacore.have 92 gal fuel so have some range with 150 yamaha 4 stroke.i have fished salmon for years but never had range to chase albacore.any tips on reading water temp charts or any other tips would be greatly appreciated. gerald cawvey [okie drifter] 4459531

Welcome oakie... Best site around but a touch quiet with the holiday weekend on us. As you poke aroound I am certain you will find guys with similar interests. Me, I'm east coast but much of the same holds true here as there. I'm sure some guys with local knowledge can give you insight as to the best temps for your region. Most of the sst sites have prettty easy to read graphics.
Out here purple and gren lures 6-8 inches are the most effective. I believe that holds true out there as well. I'm not sure about the guys your side but we do well with spreader bars on them also...
We have a lot of tackle guys on here who can help you get outfitted... Spreaders in either Match the hatch bars by offshore innovations is a hot longfin choice. Rasta bars by squid nation also earn a lot of respect.
