    Smile Rolling...

Well the swelling in my arm has subsided enough for it to bend and allow me to drive to the land of blamming. The rolling tackle box has been refitted to the rolling death mobile. Enough shafts and ammo to thin the herds and flocks of those omni dangerous herbivores i have vowed to protect mankind from.
1200 miles of rainy road and feeling blah from this medication will soon pass and then it will be...

Ahhhhhh.... Much better... not the arm, but.... Made the 1200 mile drive or should I say swim because I caught every cell along that dfront that pushed through yesterday and last night. What happened to cheap cigs in the carolinas? JR was more expensive than home. Looks like I get to try to quit again.
Got here and despite the pain. Puffed up my raft loaded my decoys, life jacket, oars, gun and a billion bullets. Drove across town and got to my favorite spot of death. There must have been ten zillion brant sitting there just looking at me all stupid. Glad I read the rules and saw they were out of season otherwise it would have been a slaughter to end all slaughters..

Very warm and clear so not a lot of ducks flying. Finally saw some winging and realized I didn't bring my calls. Well I think the Aflac duck would do better than me calling by mouth but I gave it a try. They turned but set right at max range. I could hear the pellets hit and them give me that "asshole" look. This was repeated a few more times before one black dropped. While I was running it down doing my retriever bit a malard swung in range and I blended it with the surface of the river... So its a start. Gunpowder doing wonders for my nerves...

Go get em Deep! Don't take any crap from those things. Your trips should sound something like this ...quack, quack, quack --BOOM quack, quack , quack --BOOM and then a whole bunch a feathers falling from the sky! Have fun Paul.

I dunno... Blamming the quacks is ok but I still have flashbacks to the honker that wouldn't croak last year. I did a head airconditioning with #3 at 30 yards so the hit might have been a bit lite. But the bird did a head dive right into the mud up on top of the marsh. When I got to him it was over my knees in goo and I had to lean forward to pick him up.
The bugger stood up while I was off balance and started to peck the hell out of me. I unloaded hay makers, lefts, rights and upper cuts but that bastards rubbery neck was like a shock absorber. Finally I throttled him, did the spin thing and tossed him in my decoy bag. Later I tossed the whole bag in the cooler in my car. When I got home, there he was standing up and ready to go again. I slammed the lid on his neck and put an old car battery on top to keep it that way. I still think I heard noises comming from the freezer for weeks after...
I hope the birds tighten up by 5 more yards is all so more drop per blam... They were just past clean kill range today...

    Hello Box
If you follow the Blamathon thread you'll see that I have managed a bunch of killin and some encounters along during the week. Its my intention to blam a big rack tomorrow or Tuesday. If I do succeed tomorrow, I intend to start back and possibly could make a stop on the way back to the Plywood state. We got a bit over an inch of snow through the night. I leave in a while for some great woods north of here. Willl scout this pm and blam in the am... I'm still having problems with this arm and the medication sucks. Not much energy and wind in this old bag of bones I call a body...
