RODBUILDING CLASSES

The Tri-State Rodbuilding Club will be holding our annual rodbuilding classes January 20 ,27 and Feb 10. They will be held on 3 Saturdays. Students will receive classroom instruction and have a club member( buddy)assigned to each student for 1 on 1 training to work with you to build YOUR rod. You will decide on the type of rod to be built. It is expected you will have finished your rod by the end of the classes.Tri-State has as members and teachers some of the best rodbuilders in the USA. A buddy and I talked about taking this last year and never got around to it. Not knowing anything about rod building, what would the material cost be and can I build a nice White Marlin rod for my Shimanno TLD 25s

the classes are set up to be group and Private 1 on 1 lessons with your "buddy" who guides you thru your build after the classroom lessons/ demos are given..three satudays almost all day from 9 till appox 2-3..or if you have a good buddy you wind up using his "shop" ..we teach EVERYTHING from how a blank is made to the last detail of building ..each step is shown classroom style then you work with your budy to complete YOUR rod..you will plan YOUR rod with your buddy. he will be able to guide you thru ALL areas of rodbuilding and Planning the right rod. we have some of the best builders in the country here (REALLY)..they have presented at national levels and taught at national levels..the quality of school we put on..is AMAZING.....for supplies..you will get with your buddy to discuss them..BUT..the guys that have been here know how much i have..so i am always willing to sell whatever you need..and always at better than retail pricing..alot of the guys stop here before classes start and get most of what they need....we try to have all the parts you need for YOUR rod ordered and ready for the second week of class...we supply thread blank and guides to practice along with the rodstands you need to hold rod..ALL part of the course..there are electric drying motors and thread holders for those who want to buy..but for 1 rod its REALLY not needed. feel free to call me mon-fri 6am-230pm 6105917734..or on the # from my website

Capt D cost all depend on YOUR budget..same as rods anywhere..you can get cheap stuff OR go wild..if it was my rod it would be about 225 in parts..Bay fishing..you really dont need to bring anything to start..but most have spoken with their buddy and buy some stuff..we expect EVERYONE to have everything for the second week
