Rod tip repair

I need to get a few rod tips replace and a few chipped eyes. They are nothing fancy no rollers. The inshore stuff gets beat up the most

Any recommendations as to who in NJ/PA.

I would think that I have prob 10 rods that need to be done. I am looking for semi cheap since I just sent out 20 reels for maintenance and drag repairs man I love Penn's drags more cha ching

Your in toms river so i would just run over to grumpys... they are close and it is cheap and easy.. they do a good job over there.. could also hit up betty and nicks or even dock outfitters.. that is a quick one! they will have it done in less than a week!

Thanks I really don't get up to Toms River or north too much I live 30 south of it. Looking for here and south or west I guess. Hopefully a semi private guy that does it. If anyone has a private number feel free to pm me, I keep them to myself

I dropped my reels off last week and when I 1st called it was like How did you get my number and he wouldn't even talk to me at 1st after 20 questions and who I know then the doors opened. 20 reels is a lot to pay twice on!

Most shops send stuff out I would imagine unless they are lucky enough to have a talented guy on staff, don't feel like being charged twice.

Fishermen's Headquarters is here but I feel a couple pounds lighter coming out of that store. Seems to be a tourist attraction more than anything. How can we rape the guy that does have a choice. In my 02

If you go in there enough and know them mary they will hook you up.. they are a little expensive for certain stuff but really are reasonable compared to ALOT of other shops in the area and i personally have been a long time customer of theirs and i feel that their rods guys are top notch.. they do not send anything out and they do everything in the back.. you can go in and talk to stan the owner and he would hook you up i am sure!! they are always good for either 10 or 20% off depending on what you buy and such!!

You can also talk to paul at JPR.. he would be more than willing to help you out.. he is SUPER GOOD and i have one of his rods which is kick azz!! he is about 1 hour or 1hour 20 mins from where you are... he should be able to get er done fast for ya!! click his link in my signature and get his number! stand up guy!

I can do the tips if you want me to for free!! the guides i could get done but i dont have my wrapper and threads any longer but would get them if you wanted me to! can even have a few cocktails and show ya how to do it! lol

Geesh ...! all ya need is a lighter and a pair of pliers....JUST KIDDING i bet there are lots of shops that would like to see ya.... try not to bonk your tips or reel swivels up and you will not be fixing stuff. the new logo web thing on the other page looks good also ...whats up with 'sucks' down below???... you should keep some tips and glue at home though!

I wish I could say I have the time too. If I did I would been personally moving for 2 days and getting semi settled in for 7-10 days and then a bigger move again. The business my clients all of the above plus my gear and such. I need to be cloned

The sucks thing is explained, its just a text box and it has been designed yet. Its a work in progress I need the rest of the pages for that section

Any tackle shop can replace a bad tip, all you need is a lighter, ferrule cement and the new tip. Takes about 3 minutes.

For bad guides and stuff give them to Paul, that you need a rod-builder for.
