    Rockfish Trolling Speed

Going out tomorrow for the last time before I put the boat to bed for the winter. I've been meaning to ask the question, but have never gotten around to it. What is the proper speed (in knots) for trolling for Rockfish in the Bay? Thanks in advance.

Thats a good speed....I do slow down a little as the water gets colder.....If you are trolling and see fish on the meter...bump it in to neutral for a couple seconds then back in gear...do that a couple times....the lures will sink and give a little different look that will sometimes trigger a hit

and if trolling with the current a 5 gallon bucket tied off to a stern cleat will slow ya down unlike a sea anchor which can become a tangled mess when trolling
