When he was good, he was the best....I enjoyed him through his youth, and up until the ghastly makeovers he went through, even at that his music was good, I'll miss that part of him, same as I do Elvis and Jimmy Hendrix.....I'll remember the good stuff......

Capt John,

I usual agree with with your posts and please don't take offense but just like OJ Michael bought his way out. As far as a humanitarian, I think he did what he had to do. He was just a very very confused person.

He's gotta deal with the big guy tonight and I wouldn't want to be in his shoes.

I am old enough to remember him when he was singing with his brothers on television. He was an incredibly talented entertainer, with many millions of fans. He obviously had some self image issues, and I don't seem to remember a lot of video of him laughing uproarishly at anything in his life....

But that's all I know for sure about him.

Poor bastard... Kink? Yes... Maladjusted? Yes... Molester? Can't say one way or another...

The guy was a gifted entertainer. Was never on my list of favorites but thats individual taste.

Humanitarian? Lemme tell you about something I saw more than once in Capetown South Africa... Part is austentacious... Chartering a 747-400 to fly himself and a couple assistants across the 7200 miles from Miami to Capetown is out right decadent. THen the flip side is what he did fairly often when he got there.
He'd have a couple busses full of underprivileged kids brought in from the infamous Crossroads. That place is a close candidate for hell on earth. Families living in tin shacks and cardboard boxes by the tens of thousands. Eating goats heads and cracked corn... Really no life at all.

Anyway there is a shopping center in town called the "Waterfront". Top shelf place. My brother in law has a restaurant in there. He'd have the place locked down to the public then turn the kids loose in the place and get anything they want... Had to be astronomical bill to do that but even if for just that one day those kids had a life...

Say what you will. I think the mollestaion charges were crap driven by money hungry lampreys... I said before, a kink, but one with a heart of gold.

Best Catch: My lovely wife

Wonderful entertainer. Gifted dancer. I will never understand the make-overs and we'll probably never know about the skin whitening. He was a sharp looking guy when he was black. He didn't need to do all of that crap to his face. I think when all is said and done, most people will have positive remembrances of his great music and the late night comedians will still harp on the weird stuff that his later years were filled with.

It's kind of like Elvis redux.

Best music video of all time: Thriller

Thumbs down WACKO JACKO

yup no doubt his entertainment value and musical abilities were surpassed by very few.....BUT what he did off stage and the label of being a pedophile should of landed him behind bars for many years....does money buy freedom.....well it did for him since the majoruty of his wealth was paid to his victims and their families in out of court settlements.....did me admit his guilt NO......but did he pay for what he did.....YES....money in lieu of jail time....

OK kids....no need to worry...Michael has left the building so you dont have to hide from him anymore......

I am really suprised, grew up listening to him, had the video games and movies. MJ was a strange character and I think that is what had to do with the acusations of molestation. He was an easy target for the money hungry.
MJ was not only one of the most talented people to ever walk the earth, but also donated and gave a way millions of dollars. Also after all the shit he went throught the lawsuits and tabloids he always seemed to take it in stride.
RIP MJ

He was an incredible Entertainer with his dancing, moon-walking, nut grabbing, screaming like a little girl, etc... But I bet that a lot of PARENTS will sleep good from now on knowing that there's one less BASTARD in the world they got to worry about harming their kids. I KNOW I DO!
