    Right To Repair....

    Have you guys been following the latest movement by the Big Car Companies to conceal the engine codes so that you'll have to take your car to the dealer for repairs...man what are they gonna come up with next....

    Your engine code is the 8th digit of your vin number and your engine size is listed on the emissions label under the hood of every car or truck so how are they concealing it from you?

    Please don't take any offense to this but you need to find a new mechanic that has up to date diagnostic equipment. Any half decent scanner will give you a code and the code definition so we know what the code is for. Sounds to me like your mechanic doesn't want to do diagnostic work on your car so he is trying to push you off to the dealer.
