Right Place at the Right Time

So my nephew invites me to his High School Soccer Playoff game at Queen Ann High School against Northeast High School. I figured I would go see him play and see my other nephew and parents at the same time. I got to Queen Ann a little early and called my other nephew to see where he was. He said he was at the warf in Centerville casting for some perch. I met him their and got out my camera to take some shots of his giant perch . Within a minute of me sitting their waiting for him to catch a perch these two guys show up. The first shot is of the bird seconds after he grabbed a fish. The quality is not the best but is the first action shot I have taken of these birds. BTW - Queen Ann won 3-1 so I think they advance to the regionals

Nice pics Bill . It's very hard to catch a baldie on the wing or otherwise , as I've tried many times . Last year I was coming back from fishing on the upper Choptank and spied one feeding on some carrion in a corn field . I turned around to go back to take some pics but I guess I spooked him . I got a few , but they weren't of that quality . All I had with me was a disposable . After he flew off I decided to see what he was munching on . It was an old cat carcass.

That's really cool. Supposedly we have some nests around me but I haven't seen one yet.
