I'm printing this one out for my local range. No doubt the boys will get a kick out of this one!

Holy Jubeezzus! If he came out of that unharmed, very lucky! I can bet that he won't let that happen again!

Took a military/nra course when I was a kid for competition rifle shooting. We actually had a DI seargent teaching us the course. He brought in all kinds of guns that had been screwed up for variuos reasons. Dropping a 20 ga in a 12ga that just slips past the chamber is fairly common. Mud in the barrel though is the biggie. He ahd a whole collection of em... Another one was shooting modern ammo from damascus steel (twist barrels)...
That shit is no good... Relaods can be an issue like the unpowdered one mentioned above. My buddy had that same thing happen to him. Beautiful sw. 357 blown... Actually burst right at the nipple in front of the cylinder...

Be safe out there. I've always been anal about barrel obstructions... I go nuts with snow or even rain and am careful not to let either get in my baby...

Alright, I do not doubt anybodies experiences, but thought that was just a myth. Of course I did see the mythbusters where they tries to bannana a barrel. They could not acomplish it. They even welded a plug in the end. No bannana. Someone needs to e-mail them these pictures so they will try it again..

    Hope nobody got hurt.
