RESUME HELP...

WELL ITS BEEN A REALLY, REALLY LONG TIME SINCE I NEEDED A RESUME, SO I GUESS MY QUESTION IS, WOULD ANYONE HAPPEN TO HAVE ANY TYPE OF OUTLINE FOR ME TO USE OR FOLLOW. THIS REALLY DOESN'T NEED TO BE THAT DRASTIC , JUST BASIC INFO WILL BE JUST FINE....HELP PLEASE...DAVE

Have you checked Monster.com? They have a whole section with examples, different formats, things to do and not do, etc. Start there and you will get all the info that you need.

What type of job are you going after? I have one that I had critiqued when I graduated from UF 2 years ago. I will send it to you and you can change the info to your stuff.

Sorry the monster thing didn't work out. I thought there was a way to see the info without having to sign up. For a help with the formatting they have a template wizzard in Microsoft word. If you open word and go to File, then New, a menu should open on the right hand side that says "New from template". Under that you can click on "General templates", then on the "Other Documents" tab. From there you can completely customize a format that you like, change the titles and content etc. Good luck with the job hunt!

First thing I learned when job hunting was DO NOT USE THE WORD TEMPLATES. Everyone has them and it shows that you did not put much effort into it. Another tip is save your file like this: "Logan Beal's Resume"
or First Name Last Name with Resume behind it.

That way when you send it, it has your name on the file name so when they go back through it, the person see's your name
