Nauti I have no clue what type job you are looking for but if you want to look at my resume you are more than welcome to. Just shoot me a pm. I had our career services lady help me with mine when I graduated from college and I have just updated it as needed and let her correct it when I messed up lol.

Guess it may help if I told you my resume is directed towards financial services.

I have looked over a few in my days as well and all I can tell you is to keep it simple and too the point. No fluff necessary.

I haven't applied for a job in quite some time. What ever happened to a firm hand shake, lookin the prospective boss dead in the eye and tellin em' who you were and what you can do? Not tryin to be smart here, really. I get a resume from someone from time to time myself. I just think that a person can put anything (embelish) in a resume, true or not. Give me a few minute's person to person, I can tell if I want that person around or not. I guess times have really changed. How about the guy that has ton's of great experience, but isn't very eloquent on paper? Just wondering. Frank

Unfortunately alot of hiring anymore is done through an HR dept and the first step to seeing them is your resume. All the jobs Ive had before basically were done just the way you mentioned, I was able to meet either the boss or someone he or they trusted and things went from there. Sometimes it works that way but more and more it doesnt.
