given his race and the history of the struggle for civil rights in the U.S. you'd think he'd avoid statements like this which could be easily taken out of context.
Although what he, apparently, meant was that the Republicans shouldn't be in the driver's seat and, whereas, he probably should have said that directly instead, what he did say lent itself to interpretation, unfortunately negative interpretation.
Personally, I think this statement rises to the level of requiring a clarification at a minimu and an apology would probably be even better. Let's see of Obama's team has the gumption to make him do that.

yes my absentee ballot is completed and mailed.....i am starting to see a lot of moving vans around Wash DC.....waiting to load up and ship the Dems back to where they came from....
