Replacing trebles with J-hooks on hard baits?

Has anyone experimented with replacing the trebles with J-hooks on Mann's Stretch, Rapala X-Rap, Bomber series lures etc?
I hate to foul hook fish with trebles on fish that I won't keep.

I replace them on my lures. Blind man in a kyak where fish end up in his lap, it's a matter of safety for me. Haven't noticed much difference, but I'm not what you would call a"a fish catching machine". LOL

i changed all mine this week, with trebles. just cant get used to the j hook on them. you can always bend the barb.

you can swap out the trebles for j hooks, the only problem is it can throw off the balance of the plug. they are balanced to work with trebles, and j's have a tendency to change the action
