It ain't 'Vegas, so don't expect it. Most like the Hilton.
As far as things to do, you can rent a car and drive up to Taho for the afternoon. Most just drink and gamble.

Try that secret area! You know the one that they shoot you if they catch you. Something about a spaceship or something. I heard that you can rent a plane and fly really close to the ground and sneak a peak at what they are doing! Anyway thats what I would do.

Take a snowmobie trip up thru the mountains around lake Taho - waayyyyy cool trip and lots of fun. Check around, most guides will provide transport form major hotels.

Oh yea, if you drive up to the lake you'll see alot of kids hitch hiking with snowboards. Be sure to pick them up, they know all the local fun spots. They are all good kids, they snowboard down the mtn. and hitch hike back up.
