I just bought a boat last night and I hate the name the owner has on it (ORCA). I thought there was some sort of superstition on renaming a boat after it was named. Any info would be appreciated.

not if its your boat. even the exxon valdez got a new name. so far it has not hit anything else.
The only thing I worry about is making sure the old name is taken off before you put the new one on.
Your treaddin on very very thin ice. There is a way to do it with upsetting the gods. It involves a lot of leg work but it is do able.
you need 1 bottle of 200 year old Crown
1 40 oz of Old English
1 virgin crack Ho
1 Amish , Hebrew minster
Lots and lots of candles
100 Po pa ree Incense
When you get thee above let me know and I'll walk ya through the whole proceedings.
Documented as that? Or just a plain old name change?
Fishpicker as soon as I find a virgin crack ho, I'll call ya. Everything else should be doable. Luckily the name is not painted on, its the vinyl lettering so I think I can peel it off. Bird dog its a 28 Bertram. A lot bigger and hopefully more comfy than my 25 walk around was. I don't think the boat is documented. I didn't receive documentation about it being documented, just the title, registration, and bill of sale.
You have got to be kidding me.....you guys and your silly superstitions.
All that crap is in your head![]()
Oven cleaner will make removing the decal easy.
