I would look at the 28' if you are going to make a lot of runs to the canyons, it is a little slower, but it is heavier and has a nice 10'6" beam. Talk to flndrpndr, he is my salesman and a stand up great guy. He will answer all of your questions honestly and go above and beyond for you. I would at least sea trial one before you make a decision. Just my opinion.
