    Reels

I was wondering what kind of reel would be best suited for inshore, saltwater fishing (NJ)? I think I might want to try a baitcasting reel but I'm still not sure. Thanks.

Well, I need a reel that can handle a a wide range of fish. Fluke, stripers, weakfish come to mind. Im wondering what reel would be best suited for this? I also should add that I prefer using lures. Thanks for the help.

    I prefer spinning reels/rods

I've had Shimano Stradics for years and love them. You can't go wrong w/ a Shimano product.

I've got to agree with Dave S. on this one. A good quality spinner is a verstile and easy to use fishing tool. I have yet to own a Shimmano spinner but I always hear good things about them. I have a pair of Quantim cabo PT 60s that I have used pesonally and with charters they are holing up well after 4 seasons.

I'd have one good Spinner, either a Stradic or baitrunner for versatility and a good baitcaster like an Avet MX or Abu Record.
