A Pervasive Problem
There is a pervasive perception in this country that our nation’s fisheries - fresh and saltwater - are in dire straits. And too often, when a problem is identified, the solution is to prohibit fishing access to those public resources. We’re seeing that now in the South Atlantic with a proposed sweeping ban on bottom fishing to solve overfishing for red snapper.
