    Exactly, or you grab the leader. I know several people who count the double line at the tip and touch the double line, as well as adjust the drags for anglers in tournaments. Are these questions that are asked on a polygraph? I would think many novice mates at some time touch the rod reel or line on winning fish.

    ditto on the leader!!

    always remember though if your fishing a tournament 1 guy fights the fish ..BUT someone has to make the leaders (to IGFA specs and you can find them online they have a cool website) they are fair on size and you can get some great tips there also. sharp hooks, a good drag, and a lot of line will catch anything that swims! *don't pop off fish !!! opps getting carried away...lol
