    Questions from the Party

We were discussing this the other night.....I thought I would see what some of the questions you guys get when taking a new party or someone you never fished with before...This happens to me 7 out of 10 times....

We start loading the gear etc and someone always asks
" Do we have room for ONE more cooler?"

One has soda, one has sandwiches, one for the fish, one for ice.....

I remember years ago the first King mack tournament I fished . we were loading the boat and I asked the Capt. if we were planning on getting stranded or something or was this going to be an overnite trip as I did not bring xtra clothes. He looked puzzelled until he noticed that we had 5 cases of beer. He then replied that the other two wanted to make sure they did not run out. Later I found out that they were fishing another tournament a couple of years before and they had motor problems about the time they got out of the inlet. When my friend towed them in at the end of they day they had run out of beer and cigerettes were blistered and they said that they would not run out again. Needless to say at the end of the day they had put a sizable dent in their cache. To me getting wasted takes all the enjoyment out of fishing. I am glad I don't fish with thoes two anymore.

    First Mate on Head Boat.
I had a group of military guys this year on the head boat. If your familiar with my area, (some of you are on there). They paddled down the cape fear river, dont remember how many miles, then hoped on bikes, and road from Wilmington, NC to Calabash, NC where the boat was. That is about 50 or so miles. Then set up camps, and slept in tents until morning. I got down their, and almost did a you turn. I see all these guys in military tents and I thought we were getting ambushed. haha

Anyway, they had to have brought, and good 50 or so cases of 24 pack beers. This is no lie. We had 3 huge coolers, full of beer, then some not in ice that they put in ice later. Then we had the beer we sell on the boat, which was about three 24 packs.

EVERY BEER was GONE about 3/4 in the trip. This was an 8 hour trip I'm pretty sure.

They were so sick, and they wanted more.

They guys were cool though, some had been over to Iraq before, and I think they were all going back like the next week or so after the trip.
