the guy at the marina here would put gas up as soon as it was on the news that gas went up. Then when it dropped he would keep his high saying he got it at the high price and couldn't afford to drop it. So in order to solve this one way deal we got a mobile tank being our boat is too big to trailer and not big enough to get the tanker to back up to and we own the land and slip where we tie up. Now we get our own gas at cost.

How does that compare to the pump? We are ALWAYS about 25 to 30 cents HIGHER than the national average. Right now I think were at 1.85 at the pumps. Since our water is hard as a rock, don't know where the marina is going to open in April.

Seems like price fixing to me that all the marinas call daily to each other and make sure nobody is dropping price... Twenty miles to the south its about 75 cents cheaper on gas at least...

Talking to the marina owner as to why?
"Oh I have to make $1.25 a gallon tp make it worth my while..."
"You didn't make $1.25 a gallon when it WAS $1.25 a gallon just a couple years ago... And now it doesn't matter what you charge cause you are not gonna sell shit..."

People have been driving big boats to private houses and having the trucks come and fill them direct... Enterprising guys "hauling" smaller boats onto trailers and taking to the gas stations to fill up...
The marina I fish out of is always high. They say it is because of the fuel lines going out over the water and the added risk which I think is a bunch of crap
