Ok, here's the deal, these things are not native from Puerto Rico. They we're brought in by God knows who to deal with some sort of plague, many, many years ago. But, since they do not have a "local predator" they have been multiplying to the point that you can't drive a mile without seeing one killed in the road. They will eat anything from bushes, leaves, grass and small insects. However, when they started eating agricultural products, then someone said, Houston we've got a problem. The state started hunting and killing them, but they reproduce too fast and our local version of PETA, started complaining on how cruel that was.

So, this professor comes up with the idea of eating them. He scheduled a press conference and served some appetizers. Everyone was talking on how good this chicken tastes, please give us the recipe. When the guy tells them, IT'S NOT CHICKEN, YOU'RE EATING THEM IGUANAS. THE LOOK IN THEIR FACES WAS PRICELESS. This was aired through national TV a couple of months ago!!!

Talk about topwater ...bridal some of them pests up and takem for a boatride out front , it would be pretty cool to see something destroy one of them swimming across the top of the water.

That reminds me of when I was in Kauai. They are overrun with wild chickens, yet chicken is 15 bucks a pack. I asked the lady in the store about this and she told me that you can't eat the wild chickens, they are too tough. Guess they never heard of a crock pot.

That's awesome. We got so many iguanas here, they're like pets. I can eat a sandwich on the front porch and they come up and beg like dogs. They'll eat anything and they love Doritos.
