I got hit with something pretty hard today. A kid in my 5th period class a friend not a close one but i did play on sports teams with him and knew his older brother and parents. While at dinner with my mom i got a phone call but i ignored it. I got another a minute later from the same person so i thought it must be important. I couldn't believe what i heard. I thought it must be some kind of sick joke. I found out that my friend had shot himself and was on life support. He is still on life support at MCV in Richmond with no chance of pulling through and will be taken off when the rest of his family can get in town. I still can't believe it, he seemed like such a happy kid. He was 17, smart, and a very good athlete. My prayers go out to his family and i hope that you will pray for them too.
Tragic when something like this happens. It was probably just one of those moments every teen has where things seemed overwhelming and then something like this happens and it can't be taken back. I really feel for this child's parents. On Mother's Day and all that.
