I've been holding off on this thread so far...

...but it's time to acknowledge the dread I feel on learning that he's been airlifted to an acute care hospital.

I rode once, for about 10 years, right after the Marines. I thought I was invulnerable.

Was in two accidents that weren't my fault. Hit from behind at stop lights and signs twice. Wife made me give up the bike when we got married.

So, I know what it's like to fly through the air and hear the screeching of tires, the thwack of impact and the crushing of bones and...the f*cking pain.

Hat, I'm really, really sorry. I hope with all my soul that Scott is going to be OK.

Some details of his accident we now know, he was moving slowly (25-35 mph) and merging onto a ramp for the Baltimore/Washington Parkway, a rear ended collision behind him pushed a car into his motorcycle, causing him to flip backwards off the motorcycle onto the rear ended car. He landed on the car striking the windshield and roof area. He cracked his helmet and at first was unable to move, with prayers answered, he has regained full movement in his extremities.
When your website was mentioned he gave a thumbs up, then frowned, and asked us how and why info of the accident was posted. Scott at times is a very private person who tends to shy away from attention. We (his staff) explained to him we thought it was proper as we had notified numerous other family members, associates, friends, clients, etc. Finally he became understanding and had this to say to you and can be posted.
In quoting Scott, "Wow, really do not know what to say, let me say thank you for the thoughts and concerns." "Admin John and Hubris give me some time so i can figure out what day it is, from what i am being told i played a crash test dummy on one of my Harleys." "I need to clear some cobwebs out of my brain, kind of feels like i have a severe hangover with a migraine." "I have tried to disconnect and splice all the damn wires connected to me and sneak out of this place but am not fast enough to outrun Bertha and Helga or (expletive)WTF their names are." "Snow what snow, there is no snow in Sand Key, Clearwater Beach, FL so that may be my place to recooperate, (expletive)F this cold snowy weather."
Mr. Eppehimer, in the above paragraph where we quoted Scott, you can see he is moving in the right direction, trying to make light out of the seriousness, although he still is far from 100%.
In closing, i have forwarded Scott your cell number and once he is relocated and feels he is able, he can personally contact you. As earlier stated, Scott has had many prayers answered and is really unaware of how serious his injuries are or could have been. Again, I will again keep you in the loop and abreast of any changes that may occur, all for the good we are hoping and praying.

SCOTT I MISS YOU MAN I MISS YOUR HUMOR AND HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU SOON!
Get well praying for you every night man!
I have realized for years you are one of those members who like to come on have fun and stay private at the same time.
Don't know you other then from this site but you have become a friend and someone I enjoy seeing on the site.

Give your recovery hell and push your way back as I know you have the heart!
Anything you or your family needs please contact us and we will deliver!

    I just spoke with scotty,

He is making a recovery. He remembers very little about what happened to him, and is slowly getting back to normal. He was lucky and smart to be wearing a helmet.
Thanks to his assistant he was able to break out of the hospital that they transfered him to, and will be checking into another one for some shoulder surgery. He is at home resting which he prefers to the hospital right now. He thanks everyone for thinking of him.
